This holiday season we are asking for donations to help absorb the costs of competing at a national level. All donations will be used for travel, field time, referees, and other relevant team expenses. Thank you in advance for your generous contributions and please help us spread the word!
Last season the UMD Men’s Lacrosse team made it deeper into the postseason than ever in program history, earning a spot in the MCLA final four. There were many people who helped make this possible and one very important part was the donors who helped fund our goals.
UMD Men’s Lacrosse is a club team, meaning our players pay to play, our resources from the school are limited and all of our administrative work is handled internally by players and coaches. However, our players share the same athleticism, dedication, and work ethic as other programs here on campus. UMD Men’s lacrosse has consistently and historically been one of the most competitive lacrosse teams in the upper midwest since its founding in 1991. We have the unique opportunity represent UMD and the sport of lacrosse in the best way possible, which is something we always strive to do. We give back to the local community through coaching youth and high school teams, running camps and clinics, participating in community service projects, and making appearances at youth events.
This year we have even bigger goals for Duluth Lacrosse and we want to build on last year’s accomplishments. The costs of playing lacrosse at a high level keep increasing, and as our competition spreads out so does our travel expenses. We requesting donations to help us absorb some of these costs, and allow us to focus on competing on the field and in the classroom. All donations will be used for travel, field time, referees, and other relevant team expenses.
From all UMD Lacrosse members, thank you for your generous contributions and please help us spread the word.
