Senior Attackmen Matt Friesen has been awarded the MCLA D-II Warrior Player of the Week after helping the Dogs sweep the weekend with wins against two top 5 ranked teams. Friesen scored 4 goals on Friday in a 7-6 win against St. Thomas, and another 3 goals and 2 assists on Sunday in a 15-12 comeback win against Dayton. Thats a total of 7 goals and 2 assists on the weekend.
"As a captain, Matt holds himself and his teammates to a high standard, constantly striving to get better,” says co-head coach Alex McNamara. ‘Regardless of the season highs or lows, the same level of determination, work ethic and grit is on display. Matt's ability can greatly impact every game."

After finishing the season strong, the Dogs are gaining momentum right in time for playoffs. Matt Friesen and the Bulldogs are gearing up to do some damage at the UMLC tournament in a couple of weeks!
"Matt is a true leader by example and puts in the work necessary off the field so that he can have weekends like this,” adds co-head coach Ben Blaeser. “I’m happy to see him get rewarded for the grind."
