Thalhuber, Farrell, McClees & Hadler took home the Cup!

Fifty-five golfers from all different backgrounds as former players, friends and parents of current players took the course for an exciting day of golf. Theodore Wirth Golf Club in Minneapolis, MN played host while alumni, family and supporters of the tournament were ready for the shotgun start at 9 AM.

The event raised thousands of dollars for the Men's Lacrosse program at Minnesota Duluth and all of it goes right back to the players assisting with transportation costs and player meals while traveling. As expenses rise, the golf tournament plays an important role by keeping player dues as low as possible. All players at UMD pay for all of their expenses while playing lacrosse, unlike other NCAA programs at the school.

With so many players coming back together, the tournament allows players and supporters from throughout the programs 20 year history the opportunity to revisit old stories and reconnect.

Duluth alumni Duth Thalhuber ('96), Shane Ferrel ('95), Marty McClees ('98) and Justin Hadler ('98) managed to work their way through the challenging course and beat out the field of 13 teams to win the 9th Annual Dulax Golf Tournament.

As usual, not only was the focus on the 18 holes, but golfers had other opportunities to display their skills as well. The 'Longest Drive' competiton went to Dan "Papi" O'Donnell ('05), the 'Longest Putt' went to Kyle Odegaard ('08) and the 'Closest to the Pin' went to Mark Bontrager ('95).

The Dulax Booster Club would like to thank all of our sponsors for coming out and supporting our day of golf. The current players and future players will benefit greatly from our collaborative effort. Proceeds from the tournament go directly to supporting the Duluth Lacrosse Program.
