The University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) men’s lacrosse team has announced a partnership with Lavin Lacrosse to become the official team supplier for the 2012-2013 season. The UMD program, coming off another UMLC Championship in 2012, is one of the most successful collegiate clublacrosse programs in the country. In 20+ years, UMD has amassed 14 UMLC conference titles, 11 MCLA National tournament appearances, and had several All-American recipients.

Lavin Lacrosse, a lacrosse retailer since 2007, has supplied lacrosse equipment and apparel to community, high school, and collegiate programs since its inception. In addition to their team sales division, they run a successful retail and e-commerce store out of Rosemount, Minnesota. Their experience and knowledge of lacrosse has given them a great reputation with lacrosse players, coaches, and fans in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area.

Both organizations are thrilled about the relationship moving forward. First year head coach Sam Litman, who played collegiate lacrosse at UMD, is excited to have Lavin Lacrosse as the team supplier. “Lavin Lacrosse has proven to not only have deep lacrosse knowledge and experience, they have a great reputation with customers,” said Litman. Lavin Lacrosse general manager Casey Mithun, who is the all-time leading scorer at UMD and a current assistant coach, is handling the account for Lavin Lacrosse.

“In addition to being an alumni and staff member, I’m excited to work closely with the team to design and develop a look that will set UMD apart from their competitors.” In addition to being the team supplier, Lavin Lacrosse has assisted the UMD staff in directing the Bulldog Lacrosse Camp for the past five years.

The UMD lacrosse team begins their 2013 season in February and has another demanding schedule that will bring them across the country to face top notch talent. Lavin Lacrosse is open to players, coaches, parents, and team year round and is located in Rosemount, Minnesota.
